Dr. Pavan Sugoor is a distinguished Surgical Oncologist based in Bangalore with extensive experience of more than 17 years in advanced cancer surgery, GI and colorectal oncology, minimally invasive cancer surgery, and robotic oncological operations. He is noted for his meticulousness in complicated cancer surgery and his attention to the patient in providing complete treatment in oncology. He has built expertise across a wide range of cancers, including Gastrointestinal and Colorectal, Breast and Oncoplastic, Pelvic and Gynaecological, Hepatopancreaticobiliary, Urological, Thoracic, and Soft Tissue malignancies.
Skilled in advanced minimally invasive, robotic, and fluorescence-guided techniques, he has performed over 500 laparoscopic and 250 robotic surgeries and serves as a mentor and proctor for robotic surgical oncology in India. Through his experience in laparoscopic and robotic cancer surgery, he has been instrumental in helping many patients get modern cancer treatment with better recovery and increased quality of life.
Dr. Sugoor holds an MS in General Surgery and an MCh in Surgical Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, with a fellowship in Gastrointestinal and Colorectal Surgical Oncology. He has also trained in Esophageal and Gastric Cancer Surgery in Tokyo and in Uniportal VATS in Shanghai. His academic and practical skills have made him one of the recognised specialists in GI and colorectal cancer surgery.
